300 (400)cm, is a fast growing annual with impressively tall stems crowned by ornamental light reddish-brown seeds in lose spikes above long lanceolate leaves. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in full sun. Sow directly to the ground after the last freezing nights in late spring or early summer. VII-X.
