20 (30)cm, a decorative variety with dark purplish, nodding flowers in dense whorls above oblong-elliptic leaves. It is native of moist, humus rich alpine meadows in Bhutan (Thimpu). For partially shaded spots in a moist, humus rich and well drained soil. V.
