5 (10)cm, Spring Gentian is a small perennial gentian from Central Europe, the Alps, the Balkans and western Asia. It makes a small basal leaf rosette and brilliant blue flowers in spring. For any rich, very well drained soil in full sun. An excellent plant for the rock garden. III-IV.
