Helleborus orientalis (Oriental Hellebore)

30 (45)cm, Oriental Hellebore is an evergreen perennial with glossy dark green, fingerlike, serrated leaves and white to pale rose flowers in early spring. Native of open spots in woods and meadows in the Caucasus and Greece and Turkey. Easily cultivated in any humus rich, well drained soil in partial shade to full sun. Do not disturb the very long-lived plants once established. III-IV.
