30 (50)cm ø, a showy variety with short, stiff bluish leaves with serrated margins and a terminal black thorn arranged in a dense rosette. Native from Southern California to Arizona and the North-Western parts of Sonora (Mexico). For any rich, very well drained soil in full sun. In winter give some protection from moisture.
