40 (70)cm, Mexican Sea Holly is a Central American, winter hardy herbaceous species with long, spiny, silvery-green leaves in a dense basal rosette and globose heads of white or pale blue flowers. For any humus rich, well drained soil in partial shade to full sun and preferably protected spot. Excellent for the rock garden. VII-IX.
