Freesia fucata

15 (25)cm, a wintergreen Freesia species from the western Cape in South Africa. It produces strongly sweet fragrant white flowers with a yellowish orange blotch on the lower petals and a pale purplish blush on the backside. Easily grown in any rich, well drained substrate in a sunny spot and a winter minimum of some 15°C. I-III.
