40cm, a fantastic and easy gowing Achmea species from Southern Mexico to Central America (Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Belize). It makes a broad mid-green leaf rosette with a brownish to reddish tinge in full sun and a slightly branching inflorescence with rose flowers followed by most ornamental white berries turning pale lilac-blue at maturity. Easily grown in pots in any rich, well drained substrate at a minimum of some 20°C throughout the year. VI-IX.
