Semele androgyna ssp. pterygophora

3 (7)m, a quite rare subspecies native of the laurel forest on the island of Madeira (Portugal), where it climbs up trees and hangs down on rock walls. Flowers and fruits are born at the edges of the 'leaves'. Very easy and showy container plant. This suspecies differs in the ones from the Canary island by having slightly narrower 'leaves'. X-III.
