Penstemon roezlii (Roezl's Beardtongue)

35 (50)cm, Roezl's Beardtongue is a perennial with upright stems with showy, quite large, rich blue flowers above narrow lanceolate leaves. It is native of open spots in forests and scrubs in Oregon, western Nevada, and northern California (USA). For any rich, well drained, soil in full sun. An excellent beardtongue for the rock garden. VI-VII.
