Lilium superbum (American Turk's-Cap Lily)

100 (180)cm, American Turk's-Cap Lily bears yellow-orange flowers with usually a greenish center and small dark spots above leaves arranged in whorls. It ocurrs in moist mountain meadows and open spots in woods in eastern USA and eastern Canada, where it makes nice clumps by stoloniferous bulbs. For any rich, leafy, slightly moist, yet well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. VII-VIII.
