Genista hirsuta ssp. hirsuta (Hairy Broom)

30 (70)cm, Hairy Broom is a dense compact shrub from the Iberian peninsula and the Balearics and bears narrow, needle like, spiny and finely pubescent leaves and numerous yellow flowers. For any well drained, rather rocky soil in full sun and a preferably protected spot. In colder regions better grow frostfree in pots at a winter minimum of some 5°C. V-VIII.
