80cm, Anise is an annual plant with strongly aromatic leaves and seeds which are used as a spice in numerous dishes in the Mediterranean, India and Asia. Easily grown in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot in the garden. Sow directly to the ground after the last stronger freezing nights towards mid spring. VII-IX.
