Paeonia ostii (White Tree Peony)

150 (180)cm, White Tree Peony is an erect growing woody shrub peony from Yunnan Province, China. This utmost beautiful, botanically valid species was newly described in the year 1992 in honor of Dr. Gian Lupo Osti, former president of the International Dendrological Society. This species is similar to Paeonia suffruticosa, yet its' dark green leaves have less segments and it forms large, pure white flower cups with a plesant sweet musk fragrance. We were among the first nurseries worldwide to propagate this new species in the year 1999 and it has proven to be a very robust, easy going and free flowering peony which is easily raised from seed.
