Iris versicolor (Northern Blue Flag Iris)

80 (120)cm, Northern Blue Flag Iris is native to North America (Newfoundland, Manitoba to Arkansas), growing in moist areas at the borders of river-streams. It produces several mid-sized flowers in pale to rich lilac blue, striped white and dark blue. Very easily grown in any humus rich soil in a preferably sunny spot. Ideal for the border of a pond. VI-VIII.
