Chorizema retrorsum (Large-flowered Flame Pea)

100 (200)cm, Large-flowered Flame Pea is a prostrate to upright growing small shrub with thin branches from southwestern Australia. Chorizema retrorsum makes dark green narrow, slightly glossy leaves with spiny margins and utmost showy, rather large orange flowers with a yellow eye and magenta lower lips. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Keep plants drier in winter at a minimum of some 15°C. VI-IX.
