Chorizema aciculare (Painted Flame Pea)

100 (150)cm, Painted Flame Pea is an upright growing to arching shrub with several thin branches from southwestern Australia. Chorizema aciculare makes very narrow, almost beedle like leaves and showy, rosy-red to rich orange or yellow flowers with a yellow eye and magenta lower lips. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Keep plants drier in winter at a minimum of some 15°C. VI-IX.
