Vicia cassia (Cyprus Vetch)

100 (200)cm, Cyprus Vetch [formerly listed as Lathyrus spec. 001 (Troodos, Cyprus)] is native on the Aegean island and on Cyprus, and from Turkey to Syria. Vicia cassia has very narrow leaflets and showy bicolored white and rich purple flowers which are set in profusion. Easily grown as an annual in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. Sow directly into the ground towards the end of spring. Plants require a climbing aid. VI-VIII.
