Freesia andersoniae

10 (20)cm, a wintergreen Freesia species from the central interior of South Africa. It produces strongly sweet fragrant white to cream flowers with a smaller yellowish orange blotch on the lower petals and a pale violet blush on the reverse side. Easily grown in any rich, well drained substrate in a sunny spot and a winter minimum of some 15°C. II-IV.
