Paeonia veitchii

50 (70)cm, similar to P. anomala, yet with more dissected lilac rose petals and pale green, glossy leaves. Makes up to 5 flowers per stalk. Native of NW China (Gausu, Szechuan und Shensi). Rather rare Peony for the connoisseur of this beautiful genus. Makes dense, rich flowering clumps in time. For any humus rich, well drained soil in partial shade. Very easy. V-VI.
