Primula alpicola (syn. Primula alpicola var. luna)

20 (30)cm, makes pale lemon to yellow, nodding flowers in dense whorls above oblong-elliptic leaves. It is native to Xizang in the Tsangpo valley, China, where it grows in moist, humus rich soils in alpine meadows atan elevation of up to 4.500m. For any good, humus rich and always slightly moist soil in partial shade. V.
