Asphodelus ramosus (Branched Asphodel)

200 (300)cm, Branched Asphodel (syn. Asphodelus microcarpus) is a wintergreen and summer dormant perennial species from the Mediterrean. It makes an impressively tall inflorescence with large, rosy-white flowers from a central basal, large leaf rosette. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot, best grown under frostfree conditions in large pots in a wintergarden or the like with reduced watering, as strong freezing may harm severely the leaves in winter.
