Calycanthus fertilis (Eastern Spiceshrub)

3m, Eastern Spiceshrub is the easiest species of Calycanthus and native of north-eastern USA. Grayish green leaves with dense pubescence beneath. Has reddish brown flowers, which have a pleasant aromatic fragrance. For any leafy, well drained moist soil in a partially shaded spot. IV-V.
