Penstemon grandiflorus) is an most ornamental perennial with bluish green, slightly succulent leaves and quite tall, erect stems with large, pale sky blue, lavender to pale rose flowers. It is native of the eastern Great Plains (USA) and Mexico. For any rich, well drained, preferably slightly rocky soil in full sun. VI-VIII.
