Penstemon virens (Blue Mist Beardtongue)

30 (50)cm, Blue Mist Beardtongue is a lower perennial with several erect stems covered with rich lavender flower trumpets above dark green leaves. It is native of mountain meadows and open spots in woods in E Columbia and Wyoming (USA). For any rich, very well drained, preferably rocky soil in full sun. Excellent in the rock garden. V-VI.
