Lobelia siphilitica (Great Blue Lobelia)

80 (120)cm, Great Blue Lobelia is a tall herbaceous short-lived perennial with showy spikes of dark blue flowers. It is native of rich, semi-moist prairies, open spots im woods, wet meadows, and along side streams and ponds in central and eastern USA. Easily grown in any humus rich, well drained, always slightly moist soil in a preferably sunny spot. VII-IX.
