Tephrosia virginiana (Goat's Rue)

30 (70)cm, Goat's Rue is a herbaceous perennial with pinnately divided leaves and most ornamental, bicolored, yellowish-white and pink pea-like flowers in dense clusters. It is native of dry prairies and open spots in woods throughout eastern USA. It is easily grown in a rich, well drained soil in full sun spot. This species makes a deep running rootsystem, thus it shall be undisturbed once transplanted to the garden. V-VII.
