Tithonia rotundifolia (Mexican Sunflower)

100 (170)cm, Mexican Sunflower is a spectacular, fast growing annual from Mexico with medium to tall upright growing stalks topped by quite large, bright orange to scarlet flowers. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Preculture under glass at a minimum of some 20°C from early spring onwards, transplant seedlings to the garden after the last freezing nights by the end of spring. Alternatively sow directly to the ground after the last freezing nights by the end of spring. VII-VIII.
