10 (20)cm, a rarely cultivated, dwarf annual species with an usually flat basal rosette of feathered leaves and several short, upright stalks with orange red to pale purplish red flowers. Native of rocky, sunny sites in Turkey, Cyprus and Syria. IV-VI.
