Dracocephalum ruyschiana (Northern Dragon's Head)

10 (20)cm, Northern Dragon's Head is a perennial from mountains in Europe and northeastern Asia. With time it makes dense cushions of upright stalks with narrow leaves and a terminal spike with intense blue flowers. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in full sun. An excellent plant for the rock garden. V-VI.
