Dianthus plumarius

20 (40)cm, makes dense cushions of bluish-green, linear leaves and upright stalks with quite large white, rose to pale pink flowers. Native of mountain meadows in Central Europe. Easily cultivated in any rich, very well drained soil in full sun. An excellent plant for the rock garden. V-VI.
