Rubus illecebrosus (Japanese Strawberry Raspberry)

30cm, Japanese Strawberry Raspberry makes low upright stems and is an excellent groundcoverer with ornamental light green, narrow leaves. It is native of open spots in woods in Japan. The ornamental bright red fruits can be cooked to make them palatable, and are used in jams and jellies. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. VI-VII.
