Penstemon glaber var. alpinus (Alpine Sawsepal Penstemon)

30 (50)cm, Alpine Sawsepal Penstemon makes showy, dense terminal racemes with quite large, rich blue flowers above broadly lanceolate leaves. It is native of rocky sites in subalpine regions in Wyoming and Colorado (USA). Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained, rather rocky soil in full sun. Excellent in the rock garden. VI-VII.
