Stokesia laevis (Stokes Aster)

10 (20)cm, Stokes Aster is a herbaceous perennial with beautiful pale lilac-blue flower heads above lanceolate leaves on short stems. Native of wetlands and moist meadows in southeastern USA. Easily cultivated in any humus rich, slightly moist, well drained soil in a sunny spot. VI-IX.
