Gentiana punctata (Spotted Gentian)

20 (35)cm, Spotted Gentian is a rarely seen perennial species with upright stems crowned by dense terminal clusters of pale yellow flower trumpets with numerous small brownish-red spots. Native of montane meadows from the Alps and the Balkans. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in full sun. Excellent in the rock garden. VI-IX.
