Gentiana septemfida var. lagodechiana

10 (15)cm, is a perennial species with numerous bright blue flowers with a greenish-white throat on arching stems. Native of montane meadows in the Lagodeki valley area in the Caucasus. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in full sun. Excellent in the rock garden. VI-VII.
