Hibiscus diversifolius

150 (200)cm, makes a semi woody perennial shrub with hairy, lobed leaves and quite large, pale yellow flowers with a maroon center on thorny stems and branches. Hibiscus diversifolius is native of dryish soils mountainous sites with a disjunct distribution in Africa and Australia. For any rich, well drained substrate in a sunny spot throughout the year. In winter keep drier at a minimum of some 15°C. VII-IX.
