Ipomoea costata (Australian Bush Sweet Potato)

100 (150)cm, Australian Bush Sweet Potato is a woody perennial with showy deep lilac flower trumpets, leathery oval leaves and potato like storage roots. It is native of rocky, dryish sites in Central Australia. These are traditionally roasted and eaten by the Aboriginies. For any rich, well drained substrate in a full sun throughout the year. Keep drier in winter at a minimum of some 15°C. Our seeds are from the true species and not some other Ipomoea which you may receive from certain other vendors. VII-VIII.
