Lathyrus vernus (Spring Vetch)

20 (30)cm, Spring Vetch is a herbaceous perennial from humus rich soils in open spots in deciduous woods throughout Central Europe. It makes dense clumps of upright hold stems with showy bright lilac to purple flowers in early spring. Easily grown in any rich, well drained, rocky soil in a sunny spot. III-IV.
