120 (180)cm, a beautiful herbaceous perennial species from thickets and open spots in woods in East Asia (Russia through Korea and China). It has ornamental, broadly feathered leaves on elegant, tall stems and terminal racemes of lemon yellow flowers fading to orange yellow with age. Easily grown in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. VII-VIII.
