5 (10)cm, Trumpet Gentian is a ground covering, utmost showy gentian forming mats of glossy ovoid leaves and very large, almost stemless, brilliant blue flowers in spring. Native of chalky meadows of the Alps at up to 2.000m. For any rich, well drained soil in full sun. Leave plants undisturbed. IV-V.
