Pistacia lentiscus (Mastic Shrub)

150 (250)m, Mastic Shrub is a lower woody, evergreen shrub which is very common throughout the Macaronesian and the Mediterranean region. It has aromatic, feathered, leathery foliage and terminal clusters of inconspicuous flowers followed by decorative berries turning from pale rose to black with maturity. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained substrate in full sun throughout the year. In winter keep drier at a minimum of some 5°C. USDA climate zone 10. V-VII.
